About The Village

The Village is a community space which provides connection, resources and a sense of belonging for international families in Zurich. Its doors opened in May 2026, continuing the legacy created by its predecessor LilyBee, who hosted the space since 2023.

The venue offers a small but comfortable lounge space, including a desk and tables to allow for co-working, an inviting and fully-stocked coffee/tea area, and a classroom suitable for educational workshops, events, parties and playdates. The classroom is equipped with padded flooring and plenty of toys, allowing babies and toddlers to move about safely and remain entertained while parents and caregivers can relax and connect.

Our Events and Activities

We offer first aid and CPR training opportunities on infants, children and adults for parents and families, offering certification for professionals working in childcare.

Family Events & Classes

The Village classes offer families with young children a place to learn and grow together. Music classes, baby sign language and sensory playgroups take place weekly.

Infant Feeding and Sleep

A partnership with Newborn Mums provides a regular Breastfeeding and Baby Care Cafe offering infant feeding and holistic sleep support, while providing community and connection.

Childbirth Education

We have teamed up with LilyBee to provide childbirth education courses. Private individual or couple courses, and group weekend courses are available on a monthly basis.

Testimonials

"I am a mother who has been part of this community space since it first opened. I began attending when my daughter was a newborn, and over the past three years it has become an incredibly important part of our lives.

For English-speaking mothers in Zurich, spaces like this are rare and deeply needed. It offers not just classes and events, but connection, support, and a true sense of belonging—especially for those navigating motherhood far from their home countries.

For my daughter, now three, it has been a place to grow, play, and form early social bonds. For me, it has been a source of friendship, reassurance, and community during some of the most important years of my life as a parent."

"I am the mother of two young children, and I am from the US and have been living in Switzerland for 7 years. After the birth of my first child, this was the first place I went outside my home! Ever since then, I have taken part in many programs here, including weekly open play, seasonal crafting events, book club, and the much loved annual Moms' holiday advent party. I have been so glad to have a place where I can connect with other parents and perinatal professionals in English. My children and I feel at total ease walking into this place, whether we are coming by for a structured event or an open-ended play time just to get out of the house. Early parenting is an intensely challenging period of life, and it has felt like a home away from home that has connected me with a much needed support network."

“This place has been a little oasis for me and my family during one of life’s most vulnerable transitions. It is a place where parents feel seen, supported, and empowered, especially those of us navigating pregnancy and early parenthood without family nearby.

I arrived in Zurich eight months pregnant, and the very first workshop I attended was a first‑aid class here, just before my first child was born. I am still in touch with two other mums from that class; we’ve met again at other events and outside. This is just one example of how this place gave me a community that has continued to grow ever since. That sense of connection is something I will always treasure.

It offered us the chance to bond not only with other families, but also with our own children through its wide range of courses, workshops, and community events. It truly became part of our village, a village many of us desperately need when we are far from home.”
